Your work stays yours
If we were the photographer, this is what we'd want to know first. So it comes first.
Five commitments
- You keep all rights to your photographs, including copyright. Nothing we do transfers ownership of your work.
- Your images train only your model. They're never combined with another photographer's work and never used to train anything else.
- Your model is private. It's never shared, sold, licensed, or handed to anyone, and it's used only as you approve.
- You can stop anytime. Ask, and we'll delete your images and your model within 14 days and confirm it in writing.
- Nothing is shown publicly without your written OK. That includes your images, your model's results, and your name.
Your signed agreement controls
These commitments are written into the agreement you sign before the pilot starts. If this page and your signed agreement ever differ, the agreement controls.
How AI images are labeled
Every image made with Second Exposure will carry two labels:
- A visible label in the corner: the Second Exposure mark with the words "AI image."
- Content credentials, an industry standard (C2PA) that embeds a record of how the image was made inside the file.
A visible label can be cropped off. Content credentials travel with the file, so anyone can check where an image came from.
What these images can't be used for
AI images made with Second Exposure can't be passed off as real photographs where that matters, including:
- Catch records, tournament entries, or contest submissions
- News, documentation, or evidence of something that happened
- Anything that misrepresents a real person, product, or place
How we protect your files
Your photographs and your model are kept in private, access-controlled storage and used only to build and run your model. If we ever learn they were accessed without permission, we'll tell you promptly.
